In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Cave family. Margaret’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mother Margaret Cave.

Margaret Louise Cave was born to the late Dan and Rena (Phillips) Bates on September 15, 1940 in Paris, Arkansas. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Cave; two brothers, Leroy and Virgil Ray Bates; and two sisters, Dorothy Collins and Faye A. Brown.
Margaret united with the First Church of God in Gray Rock, Arkansas. She was educated at Booker T. Washington School in Gray Rock. Several years after graduating, she moved to Saint Louis, Missouri where she worked as a Nurse’s Assistant for many years. She worked at Chestine Nursing Home in Saint Louis until she retired. Margaret married Roosevelt Cave and although they did not have any children, they helped raise their nephew, Tony Williams. Tony was like a son to them.
After retirement, Margaret moved back home to be with her family and friends. She loved being involved with the fundraisers at her church and in the Paris community projects.
Margaret truly loved and was proud of her hometown. She was a giver in life, and a very loving person. She always wore a smile and loved to joke around with everyone. She was a very out-spoken lady. She would let you know when you were wrong, but she would also praise you if you were right.
Margaret kept in touch with her all of her relatives, in and out of town. If she did not have your number, she would call around until she received it. She was all about family and will be truly missed.
Margaret leaves to cherish her memories a brother, Dan (Denise) Bates, Jr. of Saint Louis, Missouri; a sister, Daisy Ludgood of Paris, Arkansas, many nephews and nieces, great-nephews and nieces, great-great-nephews and nieces, and many other relatives and friends.

1. FAMILY ONLY AT FUNERALS/GRAVESIDE SERVICES ARE LIMITED TO 25 PEOPLE
2. GRAVESIDE SERVICES WILL NOT HAVE CHAIRS FOR SEATING
3. ONLY 10 PEOPLE MAY COME TO THE FUNERAL HOME FOR INITIAL VIEWINGS
4. NO LIMOUSINE SERVICE
5. NO PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENTS OF FUNERALS VIA NEWSPAPER, WEBSITE, OR STAFF
6. NO PUBLIC VISITATIONS OR WAKES
