In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Moreland family.  Craig’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Craig Moreland.

Craig Moreland was born on Thursday, August 9, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late John Wesley Moreland and Lorene Walker.  He entered into his eternal rest on Monday, August 17, 2020.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Jim Pete Moreland; a daughter, Kesha Fletcher; a grandson, Fai’Quan Ligons, and two brothers, John Moreland and Kevin Carbins.


Craig was baptized at an early age at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He attended Grape Street Elementary and Henry Clay Junior High Schools in Los Angeles, California.  He attended Southeast High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He became an Auto Body Painter and was pretty good at his craft.  He loved working on cars in his free time.


Craig was a person that would do anything to help his family and friends out of their given situation in life.  He dearly appreciated and cherished his family and friends.  He was a quiet man and kept to himself, but he also loved hanging out with his brother.  He will be truly missed by those who loved and valued him.


Craig will be forever loved by his children, Dominique Moreland, Kristie Moreland, Kendra Moreland, Shonda Harris, and Craig (Vha Quila) Bennett, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and a host of grandchildren; his siblings, Ida Bruener, Edward (Mary) Moreland, LaShon Carbins, Emma Fowler all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Cynthia Carbins of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and a host of other relatives and friends.
