In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Morfa family. Jose’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Jose H. Morfa.

Jose H. Morfa was born on Thursday, January 28, 1954 to the late Jesus Morfa Martinez and Edelfina Reicino Alvarez in Havana, Cuba. He was called to take his eternal rest on Friday, June 26, 2020 by his heavenly Father, God. He was also preceded in death by a precious grandson, Tye London King.

Jose had a belief in Christianity, Jesus as his Savior. He was educated in the schools of Havana, Cuba. Jose moved to the United States of America in 1980, he chose live in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Jose worked at Ok Foods, Inc. and later worked at an auto body shop. As time passed, his love for working on cars lead him open his own Custom Body Shop, “Top & Bottom”. He loved music as much as he loved working on cars, he was a DJ at the Ebony Club in Fort Smith. He also loved cooking.

Jose was a mild-mannered man, for he never raised his voice. He was quiet, kind to people, and always calm. He truly loved ALL of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; he was a very family-oriented man. While in Cuba, he was married to Ximara Alvarez, to whom he was blessed with two children. Later in America, he was married to Vivian Parker, to whom he was blessed to with four children. Later on, he was blessed with two more children by Linda Kay Smith-Graham.

Jose leaves to cherish memories, his 3 sons, Jesse Morfas of Havana, Cuba, Jose (Kimle) Morfa of Dublin, California, and Marcus Jones of Fort Smith, Arkansas; five daughters, Yackelin Morfas of Havana, Cuba, Estel King of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Angelic Graham of Arlington, Texas, Neica Jones of Little Rock, Arkansas and Tilinda Graham of Fort Smith, Arkansas, 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, and many friends.
